Guard the gate. Watch. The volcanic eruptions on the big island of Hawaii are more significant than you may imagine. There is a very small pioneering band of prophetic intercessors planting a new prayer and ministry outpost at the southern tip of the big island in a remote tourist village called Naalehu. Sixty-Eight miles to the NorthWest the volcanic fissures erupt.
Prayer has always precipitated the greatest moves of God throughout history. We find that at the darkest moments in time God has raised up communities of believers who are emboldened with hope to stand in spiritual defiance to their present reality. They call upon God until His government is established in the earth. Without question He is doing it again in this generation.
“There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens and great revolutions for good or evil spring up in the vacuum created by these openings. In these divine moments, key men and women and even entire generations risk everything to become the hinge of history, the pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing.” –Lou Engle
The Ekballo South Point house of prayer is strategically located at the most southern gate of the nation. We take seriously the scriptural mandate to, first of all, pray for those in governmental authority (1 Ti 2:1–4). We are also praying for laborers to be thrust into His harvest (Matt. 9:38), another student volunteer missions movement, 100,000 ‘sent ones’ who are equipped to priest before the Lord and rule in the heavenly realms.
